Asst. Pastor, Daphney Jordan Carswell, 48, 717 N. Main Street, Swainsboro, departed this life Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Pine Hill Baptist Church and cemetery, Davisboro.
Asst. Pastor Carswell was born in Washington County, Sept. 3, 1969, to the parentage of the late Ethel “Tap” Jordan and Robert Hooks and was a 1987 graduate of Washington County High School.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Rev. Anderson Carswell, Sr. Swainsboro; Her children Shontavius (Alex) Tarver, Sandersville, Lakendra (Eric) McGowan, Oro Valley, AZ., Kenneth Peacock Jr., Statesboro, Jordana Kelly, Swainsboro; her step children, Anderson (Natasha) Carswell, Jr., Jonesboro, Jennifer (Michael) Mumper, Fayetteville, and Felicia (Kendrick) Cheely, Swainsboro; her siblings, Angela Jordan, Tonya (Tonya) Taylor, Altino Jordan, Sandersville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Annie (Willie B. ) Lewis, Wadley, Marilyn (Bobby) Carswell, Fannie L. Carswell, Jacksonville, Zefoe Carswell, Cross-n-Green Community; God children Shanikquea Johnson, Statesboro, Keith McNear, Swainsboro, Lakeyshia Peacock, Sandersville, Larenzo Stone, Wadley, Keenan Harrison, Swainsboro, Brittney Mitchell, Augusta; Spiritual sister Elder Ruby “Mae” Wells, Louisville; grandchildren, Jadyn Josiah Peacock, Addison McKenzie Herrington, Ashton Mi’kel Tarver; a devoted caregiver, Gloria Wicker.
