Ms. Sarah Haywood Braddy

Ms. Sarah Haywood Braddy, formerly of Wadley, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 following an extended illness.  
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 11th at 2 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville with burial in Wadley City Cemetery in Wadley.  Reverend Danny Thomas officiated. The family greeted friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 
 Mrs. Braddy was born in Laurens County, the daughter of the late L. W. Haywood and the late Agnes Foskey Haywood.  She formerly resided in Warner Robins where she worked at Warner Robins Airforce Base.  Mrs. Braddy also lived in Dublin prior to locating to Wadley.  Mrs. Braddy along with her husband Paul operated the Shell Gas station in Wadley for 25 years. She was an active and faithful member of Wadley United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker and loved to sew and cook.   Her greatest joy in life was family and being a grandmother.  
 Survivors include: her daughters; Paula Braddy Parrish of Statesboro and Lisa Braddy Miller of Davisboro; grandchildren, Paul Morgan Parrish of Metter and Nina Jo Gillis and her husband Jeff of Swainsboro; great granddaughter, Jaydie Parrish of Brooklet; and siblings, Robert Haywood and his wife Shirley of Tennille, Rev. Ralph Haywood of N. Augusta, SC. and Juanita Soles of Adrian.  
 May and Smith Funeral Directors is in charge of these arrangements.
