Mr. William Tony Belcher, age 59 of Highway 319 Bartow, died Saturday evening, September 16, 2017 in Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville, with Rev. Hugh Baxter officiating. Burial followed in the Bartow City Cemetery with Masonic Graveside rights. Pallbearers were: Gary Belcher, Barry Belcher, Gary Hughes, Clay Hodges, Kelvin Hodges and L. C. Clark. Honorary Pallbearers were the members of Stonewall Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Belcher was born May 17, 1958 in Jefferson County, a son of the late Enon Alvin Belcher and Eloise Peeples Belcher. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Academy in 1977 and worked as a Mail Carrier with the United States Postal Service for more than 30 years. Tony was a Master Mason and a member of Stonewall Masonic Lodge 98 F. & A.M. and was serving as Worshipful Master.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by beloved wife of 38 years, Evey Belcher of Bartow; daughter, Toni Bell and Donnie Kirkland of Swainsboro; granddaughters, Kyli Bell and Kati Kirkland; brother, Don and Terri Belcher of Dallas, TX; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
