Gregory Leon Smith was born in Richmond County on March 25, 1954, to Paul Smith and the late Eva Brinson-Smith. He was a graduate of Augusta Technical Institute and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married his wife Felicia on Aug. 17, 2007 and they enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time with family and friends.
Greg departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017 in Savannah.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017.
Three siblings preceded him in death, Larry Smith, Carolyn Jackson and Denise Jackson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Felicia Darcelle Brown-Smith; son, Broderick Smith; brothers, Oliver Jackson Jr. and Patrick Jackson; sister, Adrienne Bivins; two grandchildren; uncle, Albert Smith; aunts, Louise Lafavor and Berdia Mae Crafton; mother-in-law Clysree Terrell Brown; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Brown and Miranda Brown; brother-in-law Victor Brown; and a host of many family and friends.
Burnette Funeral Home of Wrens was in charge of services.
