Miss Dishum M. Young

The funeral service of Miss Dishum M. Young, who died July 7 at University Hospital in Augusta, was held 11 a.m. Friday, July 14  at Sand Valley AME Church in Louisville with Rev. Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
She was born June 2, 1970 to the parentage of the late Julia Young Trumpler and Leslie Tennyson, Jr. in Jefferson County’s Louisville. Lady Di or Di as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a member of Sand Valley AME Church. She was a loving individual and had a giving spirit. She loved music and caring for children. She was a 1990 graduate of Louisville High School.
Dishum memories will be cherished by her siblings, her twin sister, Deshum M. Young of Louisville, La Shandra T. (Hubert) Fields and Gabriel (Felisia) Tennyson of Atlanta; aunts and uncles, Antonio (Jeanette) Young, Evelyn Wells, Alfornia (Dorothy) Tennyson and Karen Thomas of Louisville, Alberta (David) Walker of Hephzibah, Raydean Tennyson of Sandersville, Alfred (Phillis) Thomas of Wadley, and Catherine Stevens of Milledgeville; great aunts, Eunice Brown and Clara Rhineheart of Augusta; nieces and nephews, Keonna, Gabrielle, Nicole, Tyler, Chandler and McKevie; god-daughter, Antonia Janae Young; god-brothers, Demonte Smith, Martiece Eady and Jamie Wheeler; cousins and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Stewards and Trustees of Sand Valley AME Church. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
Family and friends may call at the resident, of her sister, Deshum Young, 5111 Middleground Rd, Apt B2, Louisville or at Garrer Funeral Home. Garrer Funeral Home of 721 New Street, Louisville is in charge of the funeral arrangements of Miss Dishum Young.
