Mrs. Ruby Price Flournoy

The funeral service of Mrs. Ruby Price Flournoy was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Salter Grove Baptist Church in Bartow, with Rev. Walter Holmes, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the Live Oak CME Church Cemetery in Wadley.
Mrs. Flournoy was born in Johnson County, Georgia Oct. 26, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Alice Monroe Price.
She received her education in the Johnson County School System. When she was very young, she became a member of Live Oak CME Church.
Memories will be cherished by her children, Carolyn Flournoy of Bartow, GA, Shirley McCall (Samuel) of Louisville, Willie Roger Price of Houston, TX, Bobby Price, Charles Flournoy and Ken Flournoy of Bartow; brother George Price (Annie Mae) of Wadley; sisters, Jessie Mae Johnson of Atlanta, Gwendolyn Price of Aiken, SC and Rosa Lee Mobley of Palmyra, PA; she reared several grandchildren, Elisheya Knight, Dominique Knight, Coretta Knight, Freddie Knight, Jr. and Quarmel Knight; grandchildren, Jasemine McCall, Juwan McCall, Napoleon Price, Bobby Price, Jr., Maurice Flournoy, Shemyaa Braddy, Kendarius Perry, Agzine James. Julius James, Maurice James, Nathan Smith, Jermica James and Keturah James; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Flournoy; brothers, Calvin Price, Charlie Price, Jessie Price and James Price; sisters, Martha Nell Price and Perry Lee Flournoy; a grandson Terrance Flournoy.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, deacons and trustees of Salter Grove Baptist Church. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Heggs, Damond Heggs, Willie Watson, Freddie Knight, Jr., Steven Flournoy and Neal Kitchen.
Family and friends may call at the Bartow residence or at Garrer Funeral Home. Garrer Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
