Mr. Carroll Cheatham Arnold, 90, of Louisville, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Jefferson Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral home with Rev. William Daniels officiating.

Mr. Arnold, a native of Washington County, was the son of the late Fred Walton Arnold and Lewise Cheatham Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a jeweler and retired after 25 years as owner of Arnold Jewelers in Louisville. He was a member of Davisboro United Methodist Church, a World War II Naval Air Force Veteran, member of the Masons for 52 years, the American Legion and the American Watch Maker-Clock Maker Institute and Independent Jewelers Organization.

Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife Hope Mays Arnold of Louisville and a brother, Fred Arnold Jr. of Eastman, along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask if donations can be made to the Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203, or Davisboro Methodist Church, P.O. Box 237, Davisboro, GA 31018.

Mr. Shaun Earnest Berry, 31, of  Stephens Street, Wrens died May 10, 2016.  Services  were  held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the New Zion Baptist Church in Wrens with the Pastor, Rev. Bennie Holmes as the Presider and Rev. Thomas Berry as the Eulogist.  The Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Shaun Earnest Berry was born on October 8, 1984 to Tyran Freeman Jordan and Jimmy Lewis Berry Sr.  Mr. Berry was a life-long resident of Wrens,   At a young age, he joined the Ways Grove Baptist Church of Wrens, which is located in the Stellaville Community.  He received his childhood education by attending the Jefferson County School System of Georgia. 

Mr. Berry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Dixon and David Jordan Sr., his paternal grandparents, Mary and Richard Berry.

Survivors include  his  daughter, Jazzmine Beamon of Augusta,  his  parents:  mother, Tyran Freeman of Wrens, father, Jimmy Berry Sr. of Augusta,  two sisters, Kira Williams and TyKerria Freeman, both of Wrens,  three brothers, Steve Berry, Jimmy Jr. (Comerlita) Berry and David Berry, all of Wrens,  six aunts, Teresa Jordan of Atlanta,  Chiquita Freeman of Augusta, Christina (Zay) Harris, Dollie Mae Rowland, Mary Ann Avery and Mary Ann Jordan, all of Wrens,  four uncles, Dedrick Jordan, Richard Sr. (Fannie) Berry, Rev. Thomas Sr. (Francis) Berry and John Goodson, all of Wrens, a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Miss Karmen Tianna LaShay Brown, 18 months, departed this life Monday May 9.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at  James and Virginia Davis Chapel, Louisville,  Burial will be held in the New Fleming Baptist Church Cemetery, Bartow.

Survivors include her parents, Shakelia Brown and Terence Hall; siblings, Jamayal Brown and Jakayla Brown; grandparents, Arlethia and Fleming Patterson Jr., Tommy and Lucille Brown, Barbara Hall and Clarence Danford; great grandparents, Eloise and Harvey Hall and Eva Murray; great great grandmother, Adnomie Morgan; aunts and uncles, Fleming Patterson, III, Tommy Brown Jr., John Brown, Willie and Tiesha Brown, Tyrone and Annie Cooper,  Shakeydra Hicks, Jacoby Brown, Lakesha Hall, Shontersa Holmes, Jartatives Williams, Patricia Hall, Kathy Hall, Verlyn Hall, Keith Murray; several cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Christine Davis Gay, 85, wife of the late Lester Gay, entered into her eternal rest Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Pruitt Health Old Capitol in Louisville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Waldens United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Gay one of seven children born to the late Mattie Mae Landrum Davis and the late John Thomas “Tom” Davis. Mrs. Gay was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, graduated from Stapleton High School and worked as a seamstress at Stapleton Garment Company until it closed.

Mrs. Gay is also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Davis, Cordele Davis, Glen Davis and Vinson Davis. Survivors include two brothers, James Eldus (Joyce) Davis of Martinez and Elwood (Carol) Davis of Woodstock; sisters-in-law, Jo Dean Davis and Jimmie Gay; nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Brent Davis, Ricky Kenny, Mike McGahee, Chris Rickerson, Ricky Rickerson and Vernon Simons. Serving as honorary pallbearers were her Sunday school class as well as Don Black, Jimmy Black, Bennett Howard, Larry Kitchens, Harold McGahee and Fay McGahee.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Waldens UMC Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Kitchens, 1304 Hadden Pond Rd, Avera GA 30833.

Mrs. Ada Mae Hill, 72, of West Palm Beach, Fla., born in Jefferson County,  April 6, 1944. She departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Hospice of Palm Beach County following a brief illness.

Services were held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Orthodox Zion Primitive Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, Fla.  Internment is at Greenwood Cemetery.

Survivors are her son, Deacon Verdree (Justine) Patterson, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Verdreana C. Patterson of West Palm Beach, Sykendrik Jackson of Louisville, and Robert Williams, of Capital Heights, Md.; one sister Bernice (John Henry) Robinson of Louisville, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ms. Mary Lee Lewis, of Barwick Circle, Louisville, departed this life Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence.

Ms. Lewis was a native of Jefferson County. She was born to the parentage of the late Ella Mae Lee Blevins. She was a 1972 graduate of the Louisville High School, graduate from Sandersville Technical College as a CNA, and was baptized as Jehovah Witness.

Survivors include her children; Dewayne Lewis, Waynesboro,, and April L. Lewis, Decatur, reared as siblings; Roger Gore, Vidette, Bobby (Aazel) Lewis, Sanford, North Carolina, Charlie (Mary) Lewis, Sanford, North Carolina, Norma Thomas, Mary Johnson, Louisville,  Annie (Joe) Benford, and Inell (Eddie) Bynum, Mississippi, special friend; Helen Burton, grandchildren; Autumn Ariel Linsey, Winter Jade Harris, Decatur, aunt; Rutha Bowman Zackery, Decatur, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

 Services will be conducted Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the James and Virginia Davis Memorial Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, with Bro. Clarence Gamble, Officiating.

Mr. Jimmy Lee Reynolds, 64 of Cain Drive, Louisville, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Reynolds was a native of Phoenix City, Ala. He was the son of the late Tommy Lee Reynolds and Sara Theresa Johnson Reynolds. He was a self-employed painter.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by two sons, Billy Shane Reynolds and Christopher A. Reynolds both of Carrollton, a sister, Faye Shirey, of Louisville, brother, Lee Antony Benton of Macon
