Mrs. Fannie Maude Lane Howard

Mrs. Fannie Maude Lane Howard, 93, residence, 8398 Highway 1 North, Louisville, departed this life Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Vero Nursing, Wadley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Canaan Galilee Baptist Church and Lone Star Cemetery. 
Mrs. Howard was born in Jefferson County to the parentage of the late John Lane, Sr. and Rosa Whigham Lane. She was the widow of the late Roosevelt Howard and a member of the Canaan Galilee Baptist Church. She served faithfully on the Usher Board for over 50 years. Fannie was a member of the Lone Star Society and the Missionary Board. She retired from housekeeping at Ft. Gordon.
Fannie Maude is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Elmer Lane Sr., three sons, Lee Edward “Pete” Howard, Roosevelt “Bub” Howard and Robert Howard, a grand daughter, Sharon Lanesta Howard and Great grand, Nolan Miles Howard.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Catherine (Florence) Davis, Otis (Edna) Howard and Myles (Rose) Howard, Louisville, Betty Jean (Albert) Thomas, Jerome (Dorene) Howard, Augusta, Willie Howard, Tacoma WA, Cleveland (Monica) Howard, Salisbury, N.C., Mary (Jack) Johnson, Wadley,  James (Pauline) Howard, Augusta; one sister-in-law, Thelma Lane, Louisville; 36 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
