Mrs. Ora Mae Heggs Lodge, 84, 48 Ruby Street, Wadley, departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Pruitt of Old Capital.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Pierce Grove Baptist Church and cemetery. Pallbearers were James Morgan, Shandrell Morgan, Tommie Lodge, Jr., Corey Gilmore, Marvin Lodge, Jr., and Nardo Lodge.
Mrs. Lodge was born in Bartow, to the parentage of the late Isaiah and Eva Lue Flournoy Heggs. She was a member of the Pierce Grove Baptist Church. Ora Mae was known and loved by all. Her Grands, great grands and neighbors too, all called her Ma.
Her parents, her husband, Roosevelt Lodge, Jr, four siblings that precedes her in death, Lula Mae Heggs, Mamie Heggs, Margaret “Bay” Heggs Lowery and Annie Heggs.
Survivors include four daughters, Lillie Mae (Leon) Gilmore, Anna Lordge, Queenie Lordge, Vanessa Teresa Lodge, Wadley; five sons, Roosevelt (Bernestine) Lodge, III, Tommie (Betty) Lodge, Wadley, Ricky Lodge, New Orleans, LA, Marvin Lodge, Rock Hill, S.C. and Verlon Lodge, Sr. Swainsboro; Brothers, Isaiah Heggs, Jr., Louisville, Robert Lewis (Elizabeth) Heggs, N.Y., William Heggs, Gainesville, FL; 31 grandchildren, including five that she reared as her very own, Jeffery (Sharron) Mack, Jr., Wrightsville, Michelle Mack Jones, Wadley, Iesha Lodge, Midville, Verlon (Javonya) Lodge, Augusta, Zanquisha Lodge, Macon; 44 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
