Mr. James “TJ” Terrell, 83, of Wrens, departed this life on Nov. 17, 2017, at Thomson Manor.
A homegoing service for Mr. Terrell was held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m., at Burnette Funeral Home in Wrens with Rev. C.W. Stone officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews and flower attendants were nieces.
Mr. Terrell was born in Jefferson County on Jan. 24, 1934, to the parentage of the late James and Essie Mae Stone Terrell.
He was a man who enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands. He worked on a farm to provide for his family, but later retired from Glit Corporation in Wrens.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Ms. Emma Mae Neal. Together they were blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
Those he leave to mourn his passing are his wife, Emma Mae Terrell, Stapleton; two daughters, Kathy (Dannis) Cooper, Wrens, and Sharon Terrell, Stapleton; one brother, Alex (Frances) Terrell, Oakland, CA; one sister-in-law, Mavis Terell, Miami, FL; two grandchildren, Ashley Terrell, Stapleton and Matthew Cooper, Wrens; one goddaughter, Lashunda Boatwright, Wrens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Burnette Funeral Home in Wrens was in charge of arrangements.
