Mr. Ellis Melvin Freeman, 66, 308 East 7th Street, Louisville, Georgia departed this life, Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel, Louisville.
Ellis was born, August 20, 1951, to the late Melvin Freeman and Mamie Lee Jenkins Murray. He attended the Jefferson County school system. At a very young age he moved to Toms River, New Jersey, where he lived until he returned. He was employed with Tucker Trucking Company.
Survivors include his companion, Jackie Berry, Louisville; his children, Jamie Lee Moss, Harrison, Ellis Bernard (Lisa) Freeman, Pamela K. (Lewis) McBride, Elisa Sabria Freeman, Louisville, Lonnie Hines, Louisville, Lakesha Freeman (Eric) Walls, Waynesboro; siblings, Bernice Ponder, Louisville, Gwinnett Lewis, CA, Leon (Sharon) Davis, Milwaukee WI, Barry Hines, Wrens, Cassandra Wynn (Henry) Burse; children that he loved as his own, Charles Coley, Jonathan Little, Janyia Thomas, Jeanette Thomas, New Jersey; 23 grandchildren; aunts and uncles, Earnest Jenkins, Dorothy Huggins, Maggie Bell, Eddie Palmer, T. J. Palmer, Willie Palmer; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
