Mrs. Charlie Mae Cooper Vaden, 4577 Hwy 242, Sandersville, departed this life Nov. 7, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Neeler A.M.E. Church, Davisboro, GA. Pastor, Rev. Dr. W. Jordan Officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
Charlie was a native of Washington County, born to the parentage of the late Charlie Jenkins and Rose Lee Bryant. After living in Boston, Mass for many years she returned to Washington County and worked with her passion, clothing. Operating “Mr. Pocketbook” in Louisville and enjoyed helping others as needed throughout Washington and surrounding counties.
Charlie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Vaden, one son, Forrest Jerome Cooper, and six siblings, Charles Sam Jenkins, Ida Mae Strowbridge, Charlie Ray Jenkins, Thomas Lee Jenkins, Rosie Mae Davis and Duffie Jefferson.
Survivors include her son, Albert “Bo” (Sharon) Knight, Starke, FL; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
