Mr. Roland Edward Farmer, age 78 of West Main Street, Gibson, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 in Augusta University.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in the Gibson First Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Watson officiating. The Farmer family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church.
A native of Ann Arbor, MI, Roland was a son of the late Gordan Dean Farmer and Florance Stage Farmer. He was an oilfield worker, member of Gibson First Baptist Church and a medicine man of The Turtle Clan of the Delaware Indians.
Roland is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Jasper and brothers, Grant Farmer and Gordan Farmer and is survived by his loving wife, Betty Farmer of Gibson; step son’s, Sam Bender and Andrew Bender; sister-in-law, Liz Farmer; nephews, James Farmer and Mike Farmer; niece, Judy Couch; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way.
