Mrs. Mildred Williams McGahee Poole

Mrs. Mildred Williams McGahee Poole, age 67 of John Williams Road, Gibson, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 201,7 at her residence.  
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in the Gibson Church of God with Rev. Tim Hicks and Rev. Stacy Williford officiating.  Burial will follow in the Waldens United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Kai Hardee, Jonathan McGahee, Blake Smith, Jacob Smith, Brock Smith and Wyatt Smith.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Alex Watkins, Josh Kitchens, Jonathan Kitchens, Daniel Sheppard and Jeremiah Kitchens.  
A native of Avera, Mildred was a daughter of the late Jesse D. Williams and Leila Clark Williams.  She was a custodian for the North Augusta First Baptist Church for many years, a homemaker, and a member of Gibson Church of God.  Mrs. Poole loved her family and church family.  She was known for her big, loving and kind heart.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Wescott; a husband, Jimmy C. McGahee and daughter-in-law, Diane McGahee and is survived by her husband, Thomas Poole of Gibson; son, David McGahee of Warrenville, SC; daughters, Carol & Edward Hardee of Graniteville, SC; Gail and Ronnie Smith of Stapleton, Sandra and David Kitchens of Thomson and Susan Sheppard of Wrens; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Usry Phillips of Gibson; brother, Larry Williams of Gibson; several nieces and nephews.
The Poole family received friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the funeral home.
