Michael Lavelton Johnson, Jr was born on Monday, Aug. 18, 1986, in Augusta Georgia at the Medical College of Georgia to Michael, Sr. and Marie Fils Johnson
He attended the public schools of Jefferson County School. He joined New Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He enjoyed helping others and listening to music. Michael worked as a landscaper doing his short time on this earthly plane.
Michael passed on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at the Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta.
Those left to cherish his memories are: a daughter, Ja’Kayla Johnson of Hollywood, TN; parents, Michael ,Sr. (Marie) Johnson of Wrens; two sisters, Katrina Atkins of Augusta, Cathyanna (Darryl) Nelson of Madison Wisconsin; brother, Jarvis K. Johnson of Wrens; nieces, Hope Walker of Augusta, Delani Nelson and Carmri Nelson,both of Madison, WI; special friend, Monique Hales of Wrens; aunts, Debra (McKinley) Williams, Loretta McCoy, Christine (William) Dunn all of Augusta, Janis Evans, Carolyn Huntley, Gwendolyn Sims all of Wrens, Kay McCoy of Westtown, NY, Adrian Longe, Chante Longe, Astriole Longe all of Haiti; uncles, Shedrick Johnson, Byron Johnson both of Augusta, Lee Edgar (Patsy) Johnson, Jr. of Wrens, Reginald Longe and Fredrick Longe both of Haiti; grandmother, Lillian Longe of Haiti; great aunts, Julia (John) Bussey, Annie L. Johnson, Lillie Brown, Catherine Coleman, Mary White all of New York, Saintermise Fils of New York; two great uncles of New York and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Inurnment service for Mr.Michael Lavelton Johnson, Jr. age 31 of 109 Ramsgate Drive Wrens, was held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Wrens at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bennie Holmes, Presiding and Pastor Trey Farmer, Eulogist.
