Mary Jane Wicker Washington, 146 Breezy Hill Rd., Davisboro, departed this life May 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held, Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Shiloh CME Church, Davisboro. Burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Washington was born May 1, 1942, as the daughter of the late Alonzo Wicker and Mary Lizzie Gladdin and the widow of Robert Washington. She attended the Washington County School System. She became a member of Shiloh CME Church at the early age of 13 where she served faithfully as an usher for 60 years. She worked as a machine operator at Johnson Cleaners.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband; one son, Bobby Joe Washington; two sisters, Tressie Kitchens, Elizabeth Little; three brothers Leroy Wicker, Billy Wicker, and Willie James Wicker.
Survivors include one son, Clinton (Deller) Washington, Tennille; two daughters, Chalisa Washington, Hephzibah, Teresa (Tyrone) Gonder, Dublin; two brother, Louis Wicker, Davisboro, John Wicker, Bartow; two sisters, Mary Rollings, Davisboro, Lottie (Walter) Thomas, Bartow; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Washington, Arthisha Shinhoster, LeKendra Carter, Khamarris Washington, Keyonni Gibbons, Rahman Gonder, Iesha Gonder, Attiyah Gonder, Shaquel Washington, Tyra Sampson, Shantae Grant; 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wicker and Mary Wicker, Stapleton; a host of other relatives and friends.
